Harry Potter the record champion
In the Guinness book of records of 2009 there are 3 pages about the succes of the Harry Potter movies. The movies and books break all records. And on 16 July it's time: the movie Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is going to be released. Will this also be a record breaker?

On the day the dvd of GoF was release, 6 dvds were sold per second in the UK. It's the fastest dvd sale ever.

*In America, 5 million dvds of GoF were sold on the first day.
*On 21 July 2007, 8.3 million copies of DH were sold in America. That's 245833 books per hour. That makes it the fastest selling novel in the world.
*The 5 HP movies that have been released until now are all in the top 10 of most successful movies of Warner Bros.
*Since september 2007, the Harry Potter movies are the most succesful film series ever made, if you look at money. Together, they made 3.5 billion euros.
*Because of the millions of books she sold, JK Rowling has become one of the richest woman in the world."

It mentions locations like around Fort William in Scotland (Hogwarts Express scenes); Lacock, where Slughorn's house is located (it is mentioned people living there had to darken their windows so it would look more mysterious and spooky); Lacock Abbey where some other night scenes where shot; Alnwick Castle, Oxford University and Gloucester Cathedral were used as parts of Hogwarts; quite a lot of shots of the green hill-y area surrounding Hogwarts were shot at Loch Arkaig, and north of Fort William and in Cape Wrath in Scotland.
