| | |  New Half-Blood Prince trailer shown at ShoWest
A new trailer for Half-Blood Prince was shown earlier today at ShoWest, an annual event held in Las Vegas to showcase new films that will be released in the coming year. Though many of the sequences have been released in previous trailers, there were new scenes throughout the teaser: Quote:
Dumbledore also has a line of dialogue that definitely isn't part of the book-- "Voldemort has chosen Draco Malfoy for a mission." Remember that in the book, Harry spends the whole time convinced Draco is up to something, while everyone else thinks Harry is just blaming Malfoy again for something he's not doing. But if Dumbledore says straight-out that Malfoy is working for Voldemort this time, that could change a lot of the direction of the story.
In the book we don't know for sure that Malfoy is working for Voldemort until he shows up on top of the castle to kill Dumbledore. The movie seems to be focusing a lot more on Malfoy, based on shots of him in the trailer, so it might get a lot more interesting to watch him, knowing he's the bad guy.

We are currently inquiring as whether or not the trailer will be released to the public by Warner Bros, so stay tuned. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be out July 17, 2009.  | |

^Yeah it's really annoying when they do that! I mean come on we love the story as it is why change it? Anyway...can't wait to see the trailer!!!! And of course can't wait to see the movie!!!!

wow thats good. and good to hear Draco getting more part since in the past few movies he was hardly there. just there passing some remark at Harry Ron or Hermione. He has a lot more now

OK, NOT happy at all with the dialogue change they gave to Dumbledore regarding Draco's role. Not at all.  When are these people going to learn if it ain't broke don't fix it?!?!?!?!?!

I Agree with everyone about needing to see the trailer!! Isn't obvious that Dumbledore picked up Harry's thoughts on Draco? Remember the scene in the book where Draco jumps after MM adjusts Draco's left sleeve!

I WANT TO SEE IT!!! I don't want a description. When is it going to be released online?! SO EXCITING!!
The changes they made sound pretty cool. I think it will be awesome to actually see the attacks and the effect of Voldemort being back has on the real world in addition to the magical world. I'm so EXCITED right now. And I agree with the article...since most of the fans already know that Draco is the one doing all the dirty work it won't be that big of a deal if they keep it secret, but I dont' see them spoiling it at the beginning of the film...Dumbledore will probably tell Harry about Draco midway through the film, so there will still be an element of mystery there. Anyways, I CAN NOT WAIT!!!!

well i thought dumbledore did know about draco through snape, so i dont think thats a big deal, we dont even know when he says this line. he might say it near the end of the movie. if the changes they made are good enough for JK, its good enough for me
