| | | New GoF set report
A new ' Goblet of Fire' set report in Film Review magazine reveals details about the creation of the dragons, the second task, the third task and Mad-Eye Moody. No new pictures from the film, were in the article but relevant quotes were picked out. Quote:
Life like silicone dummies of the children were created for the lake scene, able to move and emit bubbles from their mouths when underwater."
The dummies would've been for those characters who were taken 'captive' and needed rescuing as we know from pictures and reports that Dan and the other champion actors did film underwater scenes. Quote:
..."Similarly the elaborately grotesque appearance of Mad Eye Moody was created through prosthetic make-up rather than in post-production as the studio originally requested. "
Quote:
Of more epic proportions the crew had the mammoth task of constructing a 40 foot long dragon, which could roar, lash its tail ferociously, and breath fire the same length as its body.

I have to say, if the dragons are anything like the Animal Planet special, no one need to worry about the end result. The dragons were absolutely fantastic looking!
I can't wait to see Mad-Eye. I was wondering how they would do him, but I guess the eye stuff will be digitally done while the rest is prostetics. That's pretty cool!
That's neat about the dummies. I guess it makes sense since it was probably easier to film it that way then to have all the actors in the tank and learning to hold their breath and such.
Is the mag out now? I may have to pick it up... despite the lack of new photos, the article sounds great.

The magazine is out now because a reader got the quotes.
I don't think the guys who did the dragons for that show are working on the graphics for GoF although the techniques are similar. However, they did work on the first 3 Potter films and, in particular, Buckbeak. Quote:

The trailer should be ready. It will come any week now, within the next month most likely.

That's not the impression I got. They said that they're currently working on the HP film and unless that documentary part about the mockumentary was filmed while HP3 was being worked on, I'd say they're doing GoF. Although for some reason I have it in my head that they said the fourth, but I don't truly remember, so I won't say for certain.

Oh, 'cause an article was done on them and GoF wasn't listed as a credential.
But TLC said to be certain that the GoF dragons won't be necessarily look anything like the 'real life' ones that were created.

I think the dragons will probably end up looking different, but that's not the point. lol The point is, they got those dragons on the documentary looking cool! And quite realistic. And I imagine they'll do the same for the GoF dragons.
I'm trying to think of the exact quote now because it's bugging me... I think they said, "...who are working on the current Harry Potter film." And again, that just depends on when that was filmed I suppose. The mockumentary itself took 3 years...
