A new report from a screening of ' Goblet of Fire' in Chicago last month, has emerged. It includes details about the sequence of scenes and interactions between characters. Quote: |
The main subjects to make it to the screen are Quidditch World Cup, Yule Ball, Tri-Wizard Tourneament, Moody, Rita Skeeter, Voldemort's return, Harry's visions, Ron and Harry's fight, boys and girls developing crushes on each-other, Barty Crouch's family legacy.

The beginning is a terrifying scene at the Riddle House where the gardener discovers Lord V' and his two henchmen. Harry awakens from the vision when Hermoine calls for him to get ready to go to the World Cup.

Cho Chang is brilliant, she speaks with a heavy accent and is very pretty. Ron is in total denial that Hermoine has a date to the ball, and she is beautiful when she arrives. The only person to really enjoy himself is Neville, who comes home very late after dancing the night away with Ginny.

Many of the characters are left without time for their stories, however, and you miss seeing more of them. Snape is always around, but he has very few lines. You really start to see Neville develop his confidence and talent in the few scenes he is in. Ginny is only around a little.

Cool!, the begining sounds really good, then the QWC and omg all of it sounds SOOO COOL! lol can't wait for the movie soo excited it comes out on the 17th and my b-days on the 15th Whoop!

The writer of the report said there was a shot of the stadium and the scene changes to the Dark Mark in the camp. Does that mean there won't be any Quidditch? Or maybe they left that part out to continue editing since it requires heavy computer animation?
All in all, it sounds absolutely great!!! Still not happy about the lack of Snape appearances, but I guess, hopefully he will get a more reasonable part in OOTP. What is scaring me at this point, is that the movie may be a bit too fast-paced, at least that's the impression I got from the review. We HP fans know the story, but what about those who don't?

| He said in the report (if you read it in full) that they didn't see Quidditch. But I've heard of Stan (Krum) talking about working on a broom so my guess would be that the graphics weren't completed yet so they didn't show that scene.
I think the Yule Ball is going to be one of the highlights of the film. | |
