As far as the covers are concerned they are ok but I'm in my mid 30s and I'm not embarrassed to have the regular covers so I wont be spending my money on the other ones. |

| They're ok, but I prefer my additions. Best one is CoS in my opinion. But, just changing the covers won't change the fact that it is Harry Potter and that still alot of adults think it is a 'kids' book. Take my English Language lesson. We were talking about how to make some piece of information into something 8-12 year olds could read, how to make it interesting and exciting. Someone mentioned how you could look at a children's book like Harry Potter then the teacher said yes you could do that even though 12 year olds might think that Harry Potter is too YOUNG for them... |

| I like them! Much more mature, and will probably attract the adults. In my opinion the POA one looks sort of how I imagined the Chatue Di Iif from The Count of Monte Cristo |

| | | The UK version of OotP already has two versions, a kid's and an adult's. We bought the adults one without realising, then when we saw what most shops were selling, wondered why ours was different. | |

but idk they seem like the kind of covers that adult books have, but i dont think because they changed the covers adults are going to read them. If they didnt liek them ot start with the covers aren't going to change their minds lol <33 Jess |

Sorry Bloomsbury, but I think it's just another money spinner for the publisher, I don't agree with it! :/ | *couldn't agree more* |

I'm an adult and if I didn't know they were HP, I wouldn't pick it up(well, COS looked ok) The way I see it is, if you don't like the book I'm reading, then don't read it yourself. If you think I'm childish because I like reading HP, then all of the people who read any fantasy book (including LOTR) are childish too! But that is just my opinion! B) |

| I agree that they dont have the same "magical" element to them, but I kind of like them, maybe its because Im an adult, but they do appeal to me. However, saying that all my Harry Potter books have the "kids" covers, I dont care what the people on the subway think about me reading a "kids" book. I love them, and I think they appeal to all ages. Although, the reason I came to this topic was because I was a bit mislead by the title of "new adult "Potter" books" lol. I thought it meant dirty ones. LOL. :whisle: |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Azzariah Graduated | I like the covers. When I first started to read HP I was embarrassed but I am way over that now. that was like in 2002. I am an adult and if these were out when I started to read the books I probably would have got them instead of the others. Everyone is just biased because the other ones were first and how we see HP.
~just because an adult likes them does not mean they are boring. I am not boring by any means. ~ |

| I dont think that the covers are that great, if I saw it I wouldn't pick it up, but i must say they would come in handy whenever im in class and want to read a book...so the teachers dont go all the the power of god..on you. |
