I've seen them before; the PoA one is rather dull in my opinion, but I forgot they were out this month.

Yeah, im sorry but in my opinion i think those covers are horrible! To me at least they just look like one of those boring books that you see when you check out at the grocery store. I like the other ones much better.

The only one I like is Chamber of Secrets, I think the others are pretty boring actually, and as an adult reader I don't think I would be highly inclined to pick them up off the shelf! Sorry Bloomsbury, but I think it's just another money spinner for the publisher, I don't agree with it! :/

They're cool, but they look like the rest of the books at the book store. If I was just glancing at them I don't think I'd pick one up.

that's how I feel, i wouldn't pick them up in a store from those covers.

question...is it just the cover that it different or is some of the text different too? because i don't think I would say, "oh' they've changed the covers, i'll read HP now," y'know?

Well, in my opinion, I thought that they were rather boring. Although, I'm still growing up so it doesn't really appeal to me. But who knows, maybe older people (meaning adults) like that kind of stuff. Hopefully when I'm older, my book covers will be just a tad bit more exciting then thise ones.

The inside of the book is exactly the same (if that's what you mean).

Hey what about OOTP???? I like them a lot. They remind me of the His Dark Materials covers don't ask me why. I like the old covers too though and I really don't see the need for new covers. When OOTP came out well I saw it everywhere and most of the people I saw reading it were not kids.

These were designed pre-OotP (they'll probably make an OotP once the paperback edition has been out for a while).

I think they are pretty dull covers. The only one I would look at twice was CoS because of the design. I'm kind of curious at to how OoTP would look. Anyone know whent he paperback version of OoTP comes out?? I work at a Media Play and we don't have dates for it yet. *sigh* :sorcerer:

any "adult" embarressed to read HP should be put in Azkaban...

(I am an "adult")

The beauty of these books is that they reach all ages. That's why they are so successful.
I think it's just a ploy to get more books bought. Probably more books will go to collectors...
on the other hand, if more people read it, great!!

yes, i think its kid of morally wrong to use a different cover if youre embarrassed to be seen with the original one...its like judging a book by its cover, quite literally.
