| | |  Neville Longbottom to kill Harry Potter?
The Daily Record reports that there have been a "rush" of bets on Neville Longbottom killing Harry Potter in Deathly Hallows.
The favourites to off Harry in the last book of the series are Lord Voldemort (2-1) and Severus Snape (5-2) but the odds on Neville Longbottom being the culprit have cut from 25-1 to 12-1. Quote:
Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams said: "Neville and Harry were born within a day of each other and you can see why fans have made the connection.
"It is difficult to know if the bets are complete speculation or insider info, and with less than four months to go, we are worried about being stitched up."
Interestingly an increasing amount of people believe that Neville Longbottom will defeat Lord Voldemort, with the odds of that going from 100-1 to 8-1.
If Harry survives the series, all money will be returned to those who placed bets. A full list of odds can be seen at the above link. | |

You know you lend crackpot theories like this credibility by posting them ... like the editors at the books would reveal the ending.

That actually wouldn't surprise me. But if Neville does it, I think it will be because Harry will tell him to, perhaps because neither Ron nor Hermione would probably be capable of it. But Neville, who will do ANYTHING to bring VOldemort down after what happened to his parents, might just do whatever it takes to bring Voldie down, including killing Harry if the situation calls for it.

Well, of Harry's friends (the sextet), he does seem the most likely but I don't think it would be on purpose. I very much doubt this will be the role Neville plays but it could come as a huge shock.

I certainly can't see spending my hard earned money on a bet like this! Might as well just flush it, if you know what I mean! I doubt anyone has "the goods" on the ending because this would be gaurded as heavily as the money in Fort Knox. First, who has ever said for sure that Harry will die in book seven? To the last of my information...the answer to that is a big fat MAYBE! So, unitl I can break into to J.K. Rowling's mind and steal her thoughts right out of her head...I am not betting on anything!!!!!!
