Natalia Tena (Nymphadora Tonks) has revealed in an interview with The Telegram that she feels the film-makers didn't take enough risks with her character, in terms of her hairstyle & costumes. Natalia also talks about what she expects from Deathly Hallows. Quote: Q: Was it hard to portray a character beloved by millions of people who have already created an image of Tonks in their mind? Did you worry about fulfilling their expectations?
A: I did at the beginning … I didn’t like some of the things they did at the beginning, to be honest. I really wish she had had pink hair like in the book. They didn’t want to do that because pink would be associated with (Dolores) Umbridge, who is evil. They really didn’t take many risks.
At the beginning I really looked like a punk … and they kind of toned (it) down a bit. And I wasn’t happy with that because in my mind I was thinking “You know what, that’s not what kids are going to expect.”
Quote: Q: Do you have any predictions on what’s in store for Tonks in the last book?
A: I’ve been thinking about that. I reckon she’ll either die really quickly or she’ll kill Bellatrix (Lestrange) at some point. Or she’ll kill one of the big baddies at the end somehow. I really hope Harry dies, though, and I want Neville (Longbottom) to be the one that was the chosen one all along.

i cant belive she wants harry to die. i doubt j.k. rowling would make neville the chosen one after all this tho. she's right tho. they should have done more with her character of tonks.

I agree with Natalia on what she said, and I think she was the perfect choice, but they really should have gone a bit overboard - Tonks is one of those characters who needs it, if you know what I mean?
It would be sooo cool if what she said came true!

Nice interview...I agree, they should have made Natalia more eccentric to fit the role of Tonks. Oh well. They still did a pretty good job. And she wants Harry to die? O_o

I don't know if I agree with her here. Sure, they could've gone a bit further with her looks and made her look as eccentric and wild as we all saw her in our minds, but if they put just a fingertip over the line, she would've looked like a cartoon character. I wouldn't want Tonks to look TOO crazy, because then she would look like the joke. The whole essence of Tonks is that she looks a certain way {youthful, adventurous, eccentric, sometimes kind of nuts, lol} but in reality can really hold her own and be strong when she needs to, as well as has a depth of emotion. I just feel like, if they dressed her up in a nutty costume and changed her hair color by the scene, she wouldn't have been taken seriously enough. | |

They should have done more things for Tonks...
I want Harry to die but him still being the Chosen One....but then that would mean Harry has to live...hmm...lol....I don't want Neville connected into that thing between Harry and Voldemort.

But....yeah, I have to admit they didn't really have Tonks as I pictured her, but I knew that would be the director/producers and not Natalia. She's a wonderful actress and I can't wait to see her in the next movie.

Yeah she is right about wanting to have there be more doing with her character...and One thing I noticed, they never made Mongos. Alas you never met Neville's parents.
One thing is, it would be interesting to see if Harry was only a 'Red Harring' all along and Neville was the real 'chosen one', because they both have the abilities!
