[img]http://www.snitchseeker.com/images/news/snitch_seeker_80.jpg' align='middle'> More projects for Potter composer John Williams - Composer of the Harry Potter Soundtracks Summary:
This time his musical talents will score the soundtrack for the fourth installment in the Indiana Jones series - shooting for which will begin next year. Article: According to jwfan.net Harry Potter composer John Williams is lined up for more projects, This time his musical talents will score the soundtrack for the fourth installment in the Indiana Jones series - shooting for which will begin next year. TheSnitch.co.uk have the following to say, Quote: At the moment there is still no word on whether Williams will be scoring The Goblet of Fire which is due out November next year, and looking at his current filming shedule assuming he doesn't drop out of any projects - I have a sad suspicion that he won't be returning for GOF.
Williams is set to score Star Wars: Episode III (thats three not one hundred and eleven - as my dad once thought!) for release in May 2005, and then he is reported to be signed on for scoring the music to the remake of War of the Worlds, which is being release in the same month as the Goblet of Fire and Bond 21. Also a political movie - the title of which I've forgotten is due for release sometime next year I think too. All this means that Potter 4 may see no Williams soundtrack, however all that said - anything can happen in a year so lets not jump the gun! Source: jwfan.net and TheSnitch.co.uk |

It'd be awesome if he did do GoF, but I could easily see Danny Elfman or Hanz Zimmer stepping in and doing a great job.

I definatly hope he returns for GOF! He makes the Harry Potter movies even more magical with his great music! But I love Indiana Jones, so if they don't conflict, it'd be great for him to compose for that movie too!

Oh I hope he does, 'cos I love his work especially his Harry Potter scores. Even though he'll have to do Star Wars 'cos he made the Emperial March and he's been in that since the beginning, surely someone else can do James Bond? They get someone else to play the character so why not the compsoer? PLUS they haven't found a replacement for Pierce Bronsan so that project is actually on hold at the moment. Even if he does Indiana Jones he won't be able to start scoring until he has some footage so that isn't till next year anyway. And with GoF already well underway he could start scoring now, or as soon as he's finished Star Wars III. It doesn't take that long to score a film, James Horner scored for Troy in 2 WEEKS!
In my mind John Williams is the best composer for Harry Potter, no one else could do it apart from him and the more films he scores for the more money he gets, which can't be a bad thing He should score for this one, sure he'll be really busy, but being busy is better then having no movie to score for! I think he should stick with Harry Potter, for all 7 films (if they are all made, hopefully) that way he will always have a film to score for, until about 2010 or something anyway! :sorcerer:

Williams is my favorite composer, so I'm happy to see him doing other material, but HP just won't be the same without his scores.
