It's looks far too small for Hogwarts (plus there's cracks in the brickwork) and the Shack looked to be made of wood. I'm thinking Spinner's End, perhaps? Or the Malfoy Manor?

It looks like a part of Hogwarts castle to me though. But Spinner's End sounds interesting. Spinner's End could mean a hundred different things though. And why the Malfoy manor?? Will jkr get more into Malfoy's background? hhmm..... Maybe something about the relation between Narcissa and Sirius?? *ponders*

i don't know what that is ... i don't think it's the Shack ... it could be like a wing of hogwarts...or someone's house..not perticularly the malfoy manor, but could be anything...and i wonder why the artist put a full moon behind the building..... is this supposed to be some sort of hint??
A random question...
did dumbledore ever mantioned to harry (or to the readers) where his parents were buried? because as far as we know harry has never visited his parents graves and jk did say something about a graveyard on hogwarts grounds....may be they are buried there...i dunno...i was just wondering...

I only thought of Malfoy because of 'Draco's Detour', the 6th (?) chapter. Could just be Hogwarts but I never thought Hogwarts was decrepit.

*smacks head* I didn't even notice that, I was too concerned with the building! That probably correlates to Lupin. I hope he doesn't die. You might think that's a weird connection but since the introduction of Wormtail's Silver Hand, I've feared for the werewolf's life. Quote:

Hogwarts does indeed have a graveyard -- which goes to show how big the school is -- after 5 books there are still parts of it we've yet to see!
Alfonso wanted to include a school graveyard in the PoA but JK told him not to because it'd become important later (or something to that tone). I think that implies that she intends something to happen there at the 'right' time which would seem to support the theory that perhaps Harry's parents if not buried there, might at least have a tombstone/memorial.

^ I dunno, it looks pretty huge for a house to me. Compared to British muggle ones, for example.

To me it doesn't look like Hogwarts then again Hogwarts is big and there are probably many things we/Harry haven't discovered yet - so never say never...
Spinner's End? ...hm maybe

And what are those shapes in the background? Like other buildings?? That's what makes me think it's Hogwarts, because there seems to be other building extensions or something. And good eye dangirl, I didn't even notice the full moon either! I hope it's not about Lupin....

Hogwarts doesn't have other buildings besides the Hut and Greenhouses. The front line looks like a garden wall and the other behind looks like mountain scenery with buildings/trees on top. You can see where the building ends at the back which is why I think it's too small for a castle but too big for a run-of-the-mill house.

I think it's too small to be the Malfoy's. Maybe it's the Lovegood's? haha, sorry I was just taking a very wild guess.

I don't know... I just kind of thought that Luna was introduced just like any other character, but Luna's more involved than all the other "new" characters. Maybe she'll have more to bring to the story. And like I said, the house looks too small to be the Malfoy's (I assumed they would have this grand mansion or something), and we've seen Grimmauld Place (which is not on a hilltop), and Emma said it can't be the Shrieking Shack, and it's not Hogwarts... and I like the Riddle house idea, but Voldemort did say he was only recuperating there, and didn't he hate that house? Now that he's stronger, I don't think he would want to step foot in that house again. So the Lovegood's was my next (wild) guess...

Godric's Hollow maybe? That's a very weird picture indeed.
I also tought it could be Grimmauld place, but in book 5 it didn't say it had a greenhouse, and the castle in this pic has one.
Also, notice the lights; the house is inhabitated. *more confused*

I agree with it being too small and and shabby for the malfoy manor. I like the Lupin manor idea the best. Maybe it is gryffindor manor in godrics hollow. maybe a little far fetched but i dont think it should be ruled out.
