| | |  Missing child Madeleine McCann may get more help from JKR
The Scotsman is reporting that JKR might consider including bookmarks with a photograph of the missing child Madeleine McCann in the last installment of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, in an effort to bring more attention to the child's plight. The father of the child, Mr. Gerry McCann had this to say: Quote:
There has been some indirect contact with her. We are thinking about getting bookmarks with Madeleine's photographs and getting the author's agreement.
Someone like JK Rowling has got massive appeal and a Harry Potter book would be ideal.
As we reported previously, JKR had made a substantial contribution to the reward fund for the young Scottish girl who was abducted while on holiday with her parents in Portugal. | |

It's brilliant that JK Rowling is helping to find little Maddie. Me and my friends are all wearing yellow ribbons for her. It's been a month since she went missing, so we all hope she is found soon.

I hope they find her! It's so horrible!!!!!!!!! It's partially the parents' fault though. They left the kids alone. I still hope they find her!!!!!!!!!!!! That would be awesome if JKR did that!

I was reading about this earlier...it's an amazing idea, and all we can do is pray and keep our hope up. It's only been a month...remember the girl who disappeared for 8 years and was found sometime last year? We just have to keep praying and believing things are going to turn out for the better.

It is very nice, and I too hope the little girl is found, but chances are, it HAS been a month...
As sad as this thing is, I don't see why one missing child is any more important the the hundreds of other missing persons' cases out there that dont' get any celebrities on their sides, I just don't see why one child deserves so much more attention than all the other missing people.

I agree with all said here! It HAS been a month now. I really want her to get found too. What about the other kids? This has always been my position on this. There are hundreds of missing kids and they don't get the attention that is needed for them!
