| | | Midwife works magic for Rowling
J.K.Rowling's private midwife, Deborah Purdue, travelled 400 miles so she could be present at the birth of the Potter author's third child. Quote:
Ms Purdue, who charges £2000 per birth, was believed to have admitted the author to the ERI just hours before she had the baby. She then attended to Ms Rowling in her private room at the Simpson Maternity Unit.
Quote:
She has been monitoring Ms Rowling’s pregnancy and visiting her regularly at her home to carry out antenatal checks.
Quote:
The timing of the birth has taken Ms Rowling’s millions of fans by surprise after she made the announcement she was pregnant on her website in July. Many thought the baby was not due until March.
Quote:
The first flowers to arrive came from Bloomsbury, publishers of her five books.
The huge bouquet had a note attached which read: "Dear Jo and Neil, many congratulations on the wonderful news of your new arrival. From all at Bloomsbury".

Aw, thats nice! Hehe, I'd rather have my friends send me flowers than my publishing company, but that's sweet that they're thinking of her.

I think her publishing company could include some of her friends after working with them for so long. This is cool.

Hmm... do y'all think JK Rowling underwent natural birthing? And if the baby was expected on March, is it premature?
Well, I'm just glad that the baby was healthy.
Bloomsbury published all of her HP books. I think she's not just a friend... she's more of like a family to them.
Thanks for the info! :sorcerer:

i dont think she was expected in March, I think that was just some publicity stuff to get ppl to leave alone in her last few weeks being pregnant. very clever.

Thanks for the info! :sorcerer: March was what fans thought it was but actually it was January.
