DR.co.uk and DR.com received the following message from Dan Radliffe yesterday. Quote:
"As my 17th birthday approaches (!), I would like to appeal to my wonderful fans and ask that instead of sending me presents, they might like to make a donation, however small, to Demelza House. It really makes a huge difference to this remarkable place which I have supported for several years and I am very touched that so many fans have already taken such an active interest by donating or fund raising. Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.”

UPDATE: Birthday fundraisers:
If you’re interested in donating in Dan's name to Demelza House, a hospice for terminally ill children, you can access their site here and participate in DR.co.uk's "Kaleidoscope for Kids."
In addition, DR.com has several contests you can participate in to help Dan celebrate his birthday, including a Demelza House fundraiser, birthday wishes sent via ACED Magazine and a "Greatest Fans Idol 2006" competition.  | |
