Dan is really starting to annoy me by his elitist attitude about music. It's as if everything he listens to is gold and everything else just doesn't matter! That comment about McFly wasn't the last he made about pop music. Remember the "The stores should be fined by every pop record they sell" story? Now, I'm no fan of pop music either (my fave band is Nine Inch Nails...sooo not pop) but if he thought he could insult any band without getting struck back he is mistaken. His head should really get out of his butt where music is concerned because his maturity is something I've always liked about him.

Its kinda hard 2 believe that he actually said that. That doesnt really sound like dan would do. Well every1 has their own opinion.

Honestly, (and this is coming from a McFly fan) none of us CARE about what he said. We've taken it as a pinch of salt and so have the boys.

Also, can we really trust the newspapers as truth? Especially, tabloids these days.

I don't agree with Dan's view (obviously lol) but *shrugs* 'tis his opinion. And about McFly being hypocritical - wouldn't you say at least something (even if it was all meant in jest) if you got slated?

At the end of the day, the reason this issue keeps on rearing its ugly, pointless head is because teenage magazines and tabloid newspapers dig up old news because they've got nothing better and more up to date to print.

Hehe. In an ideal world, maybe that would happen (the getting along part). As for McFly crossing over to HPness - I don't think so (not now after this haha) BUT console yourself with the Lindsay Lohan movie that they're appearing in Release dates keep being put back though

I just don't like Dan's approach at this, though. It's like as if he is a music expert. I'm inclined to different music genres, and I don't think there's a right or wrong. In music, everything deciphers something only the listener could understand.

i reckon Dougie was right lol, in an interveiw with Russell Brand McFLY did they were talking about it. and about what doug said lol, dan must have forgot that maybe he could have offended people including his own fans by that statement, McFLY are a very much loved band and that was wrong of dan to say that.
