The Sun reports that Marilyn Manson took a swipe at Harry Potter at the recent Kerrang! Awards. He is quoted as saying,
"I get blamed for being bad but this kid is practicing witchcraft from a very early age which is totally unacceptable.”

Yep, I mean forget Manson has been sued for sexual battery, and other things. He's angel compared to a "make believe" character named Harry Potter. His comments are in joke. It's just amazing that in his haze Manson is aware of HP at all. The comment could be his way to reveal he's a reader of the series or it could be just another poke at what he sees as society conformity.

Hmm, intellectual literacy artform vs Marilyn Manson? That's really a no-brainer. Because obviously the books main themes such a friendship, loyalty, dedication and love are all negitive ideals compared to the vile things Manson signs about?

That doesnt sound like a "blast" to me, but more of a joke. He says he gets blamed for being bad, but the joke is that he thinks its bad to do "magic" at a young age. Well thats what i interpreted it as. If he said "This kid practices witchcraft" it would be more of a criticism, but it doesnt look so. By saying this, i in no way encourage witchcraft or any form of magic.

Right...I wonder if he has read the books. Probably not. Everyone is intitled to their own opinion of course but Harry Potter and him are in two seperate categories. You can't really compare the two. I mean Harry Potter is all magical about going to school and learning how to do these spells, and he's a hard core singer that dresses like a goth (apologies if he isn't a goth, but that's how he looks to me). I mean can you really compare them?
