| | |  The marble on JKR's site has vanished....update to the site due soon?
Veritaserum have had fans reporting to them that the marble which allowed for access to a piece of Pottermania, has mysteriously dissappeared. This appears to have happened for some versions of the site and not others.
The site opened on May 15th, 2004. Since then updates seem to have been made in regular intervals.
The 'Do not Disturb' door opened for the first time exactly 1 and a half months later (around July 1st, 2004). Then the door reopened on August 16th, 2004 (which was also 1 and a half months after July 1st, the date of the first opening). If this pattern continues then it should mean that we can expect another update around October 1st/2nd.
However, it could just be that the marble disappears once you've collected that 'prize'. But it is advisable to keep an eye on the site over the next few days.

I'd say its linked to your IP address, because my college computer shows the marble, but my home pc[the one i use most] doesn't anymore.

Well..I too have noticed a slight pattern....Have you noticed that around the charachters birthday's the door opens,or something very big happends?With in the same week...except for Hermione..but the rubbish bin came out with 2 weeks of her birthday...could be a coincedence..but then again..we know J.K and how she loves to string us along..its possible..and the month and half thing...possible as well..we will have to keep some one on guard on her site! lol...well...lets all hope that there is an up date soon!!!

Did anyone else click on the marble after the wind while it was glowing? Because I noticed it left the desk after i got the page for my scrapbook from it. Could that be what caused it to leave? or did no one else get it?
