Myrtle Beach Online have a detailed description about a new attraction called 'MagicQuest village' which is coming to Myrtle Beach. Quote:
"In today's Harry Potter society, magic is a popular theme," Gilland said. "I think, like any of the other excellent attractions here, it will be something new for people to get excited about who have been here, and for those who have never come before, they'll want to get to this first and then enjoy all the other attractions the Grand Strand has to offer."
They also have some great drawings of what the place will hopefully look like when finished: Outside Entrance Bird`s eye view of the castle/park

I read somewhere (this was a long time ago, not sure though) that some people were planning a real HP theme park...but I guess this isn't true, since we haven't heard anything about it.
Interesting though. Wish I could be there to visit once it opens.

omg omg they had better get it done by this april...our school's symphonic band is spending a few days down there and it'd be awesome if we could go there! but i doubt it....sounds like a biiiig project.

About time they made some kind of HP theme park. I think they were talking about making one in Disney World a while back.
My cousins own a beach house down in Myrtal Beach. Last time me and my brother flew in their private plane down there. I guess I'll be giving her a call.

um, what does this have anything to do with harry potter? isnt this a "magic" place? pardon me if im reading this wrong but i have failed to see where this says it is a harry potter world. i wouldnt be making these comments if it were about harry potter, but it isnt.

That sounds awesome! SC is about 2 hours from here, probably more for the beach though. I really wish they would do something like that at Disney World or Universal Studios, only 8 hours from where I live!

It wasn't as neat as it is made out to be. It's full of little kids, anywhere from ages 4-8, who just run around making tons of noise. You can't really hear anything at all that is being said from the machines. I ended up demanding for my back. Was a pretty big waste of money, $22 for wands and $17 for game time. We got refunded for the game time only. If it wasn't for all the noisy kids it might have been pretty neat, kind of a scavenger hunt type of thing.
