Speaking about Professor Lupin, whom Steve Kloves describes as " Harry's extended family", the article continues:
Kloves says that when he first met Rowling, he told her he intuited that Lily "was quite special" and that James "was complicated." And in the bridge scene, Lupin "illuminates Harry about his mother - the most wonderful thing about her was that she was understanding toward Lupin at a time few were. She saw something special about him when others, including himself, couldn't." Kloves admits, "I think he was in love with her in many ways." |

| It may be an element JK decides to add later on in book 6 or 7, but I highly doubt it...she would have hinted more about Lupin's feelings toward Lily in books 3,4, and 5 if that was her intention. It would be an interesting element to add, though...

| | | Yeah. I really do think that Lupin is( or was ) in love w/ Lily. The way he said it in the movie it sounded like he really liked her. And remeber, J.K. Rowling said that there was gonna be some clues to the future books.

I think it gave the hints that Jo was talking about but I don't think it was hinting that Remus was in love with Lily. Look at how Remus was describing Lily and then look at Hermione's reaction to him and others during the movie. Hermione rushes to Hagrid and tells him to get Malfoy to the hospital wing when he is hurt by Buckbeak even though Malfoy is awful to her. When she thinks Buckbeak has been killed she cries. She defends Crookshanks even though at first (when reading the book) everyone thinks the cat did it even Harry. In the movie when Reums turns into the werewolf instead of running from him at first she tries to help him. She puts others wellbeing before her own. Hence I think Hermione is Harry's twin sister and after Voldemort killed Lily and James she was adopted by the Grangers. I don't think Voldemort knew about her and since the prophecy was not about her they didn't feel she would need blood protection like Harry. Plus look at their names Harry/Hermione both begin with H like is common that the first letter of the twin's names are usually the same. Hermione wound up with James' unruly hair and his eyes and Lily's brains and heart. JUST A THEORY | o yea that makes sense.. coughsarcazmcough.. no one in the wizarding world would have known about there being two potter babies?? sure.. yea.. right.. |

| yeah, when i watched the scene on the bridge, he seemed so sentimental..... and also, when he told harry he was resigning or something, he was all like you look just like your father, and then said quietly, you have your mothers eyes....
Life is soo twisted.......... *sigh* |

And wouldn't they have the same birthday if they were twins. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | I think he admired her alot - as he said she was a a very kind and giving woman. But, the tone of his voice did hint that he may have been infatuated with her. The way in which he said, "Oh yes, I knew your mother.." was sort of whistful. Maybe he did have some form of feelings for her, more than friends, but never said anything. As he said, she helped him and made him see the beauty in himself when he could not, possibly when he first became a werewolf. If that happened whilst they were still at school it would be very believable for James and that to have been unable to decipher how to feel about his change, which is where Lilly may have stepped in. She defended Snape before, we get the impression she was a person who looked beyond the outside of a person and sought to find the inside in order to better herself to help that person.
It might not be romantic love, could have been platonic. But he does sound infatuated with her. |

| AS Jk SAid: ( references) " I think some fans have just seen to much star wars." lol Seriously people. I think the the scene was nothing, I love my friends, yes love but that dosent mean Im Gay! shesh...I think he might have cared for Lily but He has too much respect for james..would be so unhonerable to go after your best friends girlfriend.? Also I do not think Hermoine is harry's sister.." He's My brother"-Scene from star wars when Leia tells Han solo about Luc. lol No what I got from the POA film was the Absolute ( It is said about 4 times!) reference to Lily's eyes! " You probably get tired of hearing this but you look so much like your father, but you have Your mother's eyes"-Sirius " Harry Interupts " Yes, my mothers eyes, I know"
" I recognized you right away, not by your scar, but by your eyes, you have Lily's eyes."-Lupin
Has anyone thought about the significance of this!
" You may find, that you Poseses, the sight."-Trewlany
Plus...why does Harry have to wear Glasses?! Is it for other reasons? Because Im sure in the wizard world they could have fixed it, but "dont fix somthing unless it's broken" Hmmm..
and who fixes his glasses in film one..?" Occulous Repairo" Hermoine.
Rember luna can see things others can;t perhaps..besides the death factor prehaps harry can too? |

| I always thought of Lily being the little sister to the rest of the mauraders or something like that...but this is interesting...
I did get the same sense when I saw POA....I think I like the idea...It reallly does seem to fit...
Remus giving up on love because he is a werewolf and he has so much to be thankful to James for... |

| I'm glad that Kloves mentioned that scene. Because I've noticed that too, on the Bridge scene, that Lupin described Lily like no person has done before. Many referred Lily as the mother to Harry's that in which Harry's eye color comes from.
But the way Lupin talked about Lily was quiet exhillerating. The way she cared for him and understood him like no one else has done before...I smell Drama!!!
I wouldn't be surprised if Lupin did love Lily. I hope J.K.R. will somehow mention that in the last 2 future books of hers. |

| Yes, I like the idea, in fact I love it, But I really doubt J.K would ad that In. She seems to sorta only stay on the main storyline and this wouldnt seem in the part. Sorta on the side lines I think it would be good as a back story, in fact I find these stories like the one with snape in the pensieve that most fascinating. I love the teachers especially lupin, and the more to thier story the better. |

She seems to like doing that both in the films (through telling the director) and in the books. It wont become a major plotine though, that's a silly presumption, but it's a cute thing that's gunna cause alot of speculation. |

| i totally agree that Lupin might have feelings other than the ones that he presents to his friends about Lily. i thougt it would be silly to say that i thought that, but im gald others think so too. Quote: QUOTE (karen_ginger @ Jun 6 2004, 07:23 PM)
