Speaking about Professor Lupin, whom Steve Kloves describes as " Harry's extended family", the article continues:
Kloves says that when he first met Rowling, he told her he intuited that Lily "was quite special" and that James "was complicated." And in the bridge scene, Lupin "illuminates Harry about his mother - the most wonderful thing about her was that she was understanding toward Lupin at a time few were. She saw something special about him when others, including himself, couldn't." Kloves admits, "I think he was in love with her in many ways." |

It's actually rather simple. He's either long sighted or short sighted.

hmm....I was thinking that too..
How did Harry get his glasses in the beginning? The Dursleys got him when he was a baby. Then 11 yrs later he's wearing glasses. Did the Dursleys have to buy Harry some glasses? But if so, why would the Dursleys even bother with his (long or short distance sight). Wouldn't they just love to see him suffer as a blind scrony boy? well, anywayz, that's just a question that kept nagging me in the back of my head. |

When he was talking about her it was more like he was saying to himself, not Harry. And JK did say that Cuaron put things in the movie that would play a role in the future books. I agree... just like in the hug scene b/c hermione and harry in CoS, they hinted at that being that they are being closer friend and ron and her are kindof liking each other.... I think that Lupin could have possibly loved lily for her kindness, but was not jealous of james though. :sorcerer:

You know, that scene in the movie DID have me wondering.
But for some reason, I don't see it happening...Even though that part did kind of make it seem like it.
Then again, just by looking at my screenname, you can see that I wouldn't want him loving Lily, or anyone else for that matter, anyway.

Social services would've been onto them if they'd done that. Other than that, they're not mean without purpose. They're more firghtened of him and what he can do than anything else. They treat him badly out of fear for their own lives.

I think it's plausible if it's one-sided. *shrugs*

Tell me, who's writing the book again?? I really think the movie makers should have waited until JK finished the series before they started publishing assumptions.

Lib Jo Rowling approved all added bits in the films, hence she would have approved this.

I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who thought that! You know, J.K. said that there was MAJOR foreshadowing for the next two books so yeah. I think that would be cute... but James got her. Another thing to make me feel sorry for poor Remmy...

I always felt that James wouldn't have been the only one that had feelings for Lily, who would have thunk it was Lupin? Man, I always fingered Sirius as having feelings for Lilly, not Lupin... and man, I hate Lilly for some reason, but I love Lupin so I hate to hear this. J.K. Rowling did say that Alfonzo accidentally put in foreshadowing to the last two books without realizing it, and me and the other two Harry Potter muskaters/marauders (aka Amy and Jess) think that might be one instance of it. We think Ron and Heromine is another, and the fact that Ginny was on screen for three seconds!!! YESSSS. Sorry, I hate Ginny, Cho, and Lilly. The women of Harry Potter. Luna and Heromine are the only good ones.

And I always figured Snape had a huggggge crush on LIlly. Maybe thats one of the reasons he resents Lupin so much.... hmmm *muses*. Oh man, I hate Peter so much, cause you know Peter, with his silver arm, is going to kill Remus, the last of the (true) Marauders. I hope that Harry kills Peter, and then DOESN'T DIE! As much as I know Dan's right, cause J. K. has conversed with him. Alot of people are begining to think shes shown him the epilouge, because supposdly shes already wrote it. And she's alreadly told us more students die. "I've already written the epilouge saying what the students do after Hogwarts. The ones who live anyway" or something like that. I bet Neville has a HUGE part in the whole 'Harry-Voldemort' thing, and I don't like it.

In a way i think Lupin would have best suited Lily. There both kinda on the same page (toss the opposites attract theory for a moment). I also think that Lupin thought a lot of James which is why if he loved her he would have given her up. Its the sort of think he would do. Whilst Harry's father prolly didn't have a clue of this at all.
I don't think sirius was in love with her though. She meant a lot to James and hence she prolly came off like a sister in law or something. Back in the day sirius was quite the looker while Lupin always came off the quite resolute one.
" Quote: I've already written the epilouge saying what the students do after Hogwarts. The ones who live anyway" man did Jk say that?? I was hoping for something like that to happen.
