| | |  Luna Lovegood casting report
SnitchSeeker fleurdelacour (Harriet) previously told us that her school was one of the places being visited by casting directors for ' Order of the Phoenix' to find potential Luna Lovegoods. Harriet attended the 'casting' today and has sent us a report. Quote:
Basically, we all went along at break and because there were so many of us we had to line up and picked us out of a line to interview. I couldn't believe it when she picked me (I thought my heart skipped a beat!) and we sat down and she interviewed me. She asked me :
- What's my name?
- How old I am
- When my birthday is
- How tall I am
- Any acting experience?
- Am I British?
Then she told me to look at her and she wrote down what I look like. Then, I had to stand against a white wall and she took a polaroid of me.
I don't know what happens next, I'm guessing she takes the photos back and looks at them, then decides who she wants to audition again. But I'm so happy that I actually got past stage 1! I never thought it would happen!
She also took pictures of completely random people - she took pictures of Asian people, Spanish people, red-haired people... so I don't think she was just looking for Luna, I suspect there were other minor characters castings going on there too.
She was looking for people age 14. When she asked my age I told her I was 15 (because I am on Wednesday!) and she said "Sorry, I think you might be too old" so I paniced and told her I wasn't 15 yet. So that was OK. So she's looking for age 14s.

I don't really get it, I understand they can't use someone who's 7 of like 21 (like me). But 14 or 15, what does 1 more year, which isn't even a year in Harriet's case. I mean, Tom is several years older than Dan, Rupert and Emma and yet he playes the same age....anyway....
Still hoping you get the part Harriet!!!!!

That age thing is a bit stupid... I mean, I know the character is a certain age, but just because one is 15 doesn't mean they look 15. lol I'm 25 and people think I'm still in high school!

That sounds great! Good luck Harriet! I really hope you get chosen for Phase 2 and onwards! 
They're probably looking for 14 year olds because that's Luna's age in OOTP, so they may prefer to stick to that, and also due to the fact of how some people grow up so fast. But the trio weren't all the right age when they were cast, I think Daniel was the right age, but I'm not sure.

DUDE! this sux...in America....no stinking casting director is going to look for any actor/actress in common schools like British...lol! what am I saying, this is British land we're talking about, lol! dude, it's quite small for any child actor to come up in the casting list. But I don't know...lol!

Good luck! Man if I were only 14 years old and British! I have to be 24 years old and Canadian. Well technically my father is from England but I don't think that would count. Especially the 24 years old part. But I'm sure they'll do a great job casting the part.
