| | |  Luna Lovegood casting attracts thousands! (UPDATED)
Several sources are reporting that thousands of girls queued earlier today in London for the chance to play Luna Lovegood in ' Order of the Phoenix'.
The BBC and IrelandOnline spoke to some of the girls who had queued for hours. Quote:
First in line at Westminster Central Hall at Storey's Gate, London, was Kim Allen, 15, from Andover, Hampshire.
"There are three of us and we slept outside although we didn't sleep very well," said Ms Allen.
"I've done drama lessons but that's about it but I have loved acting ever since I was younger and I'm mad about Harry Potter.
"If I got this, it would be a step for me towards being in more films and I desperately want the part. I check the Harry Potter website every day and saw the auditions advertised on there.”
The teenager, who attends Henry Beaufort School in Winchester, continued: “I love the magic and the mystery and Daniel Radcliffe. I love the whole fantasy of it and wish somewhere like that existed.”

The 14-year-old said she had been queuing from 6.40am and it was "very cold".
She added: "I'm so excited, I can't wait to get in there and see what happens. I go to drama school and this is what I've always wanted to do."

Two other friends in the queue were Annie Beatson, 15, who attends John Hanson School in Andover, and Tazia Williams, 14, from Winton School in Andover.
Annie said: “As far as we know they are just going to be looking at us and seeing if any of us have got the weird characteristics they want. We were told we couldn’t wear make-up which is a nightmare.”

UPDATE: In a new article CBBC Newsround report that an estimated 15,000 girls turned up. The last potential Lunas were seen at 5pm and film bosses are reportedly delighted with the number of people who turned up. Quote:
Rosie, 13 from Fulham chatted to Newsround while she was waiting in the queue. She said: "I'm really really excited but I'm cold. I came for the experience."
And after her audition Maddi, 14 from Essex texted Newsround saying: "When I was in the room for the audition it was quite nerve-wracking even though we only had to say our name! I didn't get through."

Vanessa Davies, a spokesperson for the Harry Potter production team told Newsround she thought the casting was going really well.
She said: "We appreciate it is very heartbreaking if you are not successful and we particularly have sympathy for those who have travelled a long way to get here. "It's great to see the queue is in very good humour."

Some of the girls look nothing like Luna. Looking through the CBBC Gallery I saw two which I thought looked sort of like her.

Only blond people are going to get it! Not brown haired girls, not black haired- BLONDE! Hair colour isn't an issue. A lot of the current cast either dye their hair or use wigs. While resemblance is important, I shouldn't think hair colour would bother them. I mean, Harry's meant to have black hair but he doesn't in the films! lol.
