Life and movies intertwined for boy who looks like Harry Potter
It happened again last week, not that it was unexpected, but this time it was a little harder to ignore. "Harry Potter!" some guy shouted out as he walked past. Article: University of Washington Daily has an artical writen by a Boy who looks like Harry Potter. Quote: Usually, when I'm identified by that name it's preceded by something like, \"Hey, do you know who you look like?\" or, \"You look a lot like ...\" This time it was simple and straightforward:
\"Harry Potter!\" Quote: I know I'm not the only one who suffers from this. A friend of mine who worked at The Daily looked like a slightly older Draco Malfoy, and probably could have played the part had he not been such a nice guy. Outside of Hogwarts many people try to identify themselves (or are forcibly identified) by their celebrity counterparts. My high-school yearbook had a celebrity look-alike section and there's even a MTV program called I Want a Famous Face in which people slice and dice their bodies to become more like the people they admire. Quote: In any case, that guy outside the cafe who was the umpteenth person to point out the similarity between the teenage wizard and me probably didn't mean any offense. He won't be the last person to point out the resemblance: As Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Potter in the movies, gets older the number of sightings will only increase. I would just like to point out, however, that I came first. I'm resigned to the fact that nobody will ever point at the silver screen and shout \"Brian Alexander!\" Source: University of Washington Daily Via Wizard News
I wonder if we are supose to feel sorry for him lol. |

*reads* Er... well... I have an un-canny resemblence to Hermione! To bad no one has shouted out "Hermione Granger!" I would've enjoyed it
Um so... yeah... poor another kid who looks like Harry Potter who didn't get the part...

I bet it can get a little annoying after a while, considering HP is a fictional character too. I bet if someone kept shouting out Brad Pitt he would be alright about it!
I saw a kid today that actually looked like HP, funny that - the thing is, he really did, he even had the same glasses but I didn't have the nerve to say anything! |

It's one thing to think of someone resembling a celebrity, but to actually point it out to the person or yell it out treads on a lack of manners

Ohhh, I think he'll get used to it. I'm sure it must become weird if people only know you because of our role. But I think getting all this attention is going to be the best for them, that way they can get more roles later on in their career.

There's a kid at my school who gets called Potter a lot because he looks like Harry's description. I would think that getting recognized liket that gets old really quickly...

| We had a celebrity look-a-like page in our yearbook, however, none of the students from my school that were featured in the article looked like the celebs they were resembling ....

I'm not so sure about that, because a couple months back I saw a Harry lookalike in the news and he looked kindof scraggly, like he tried too hard to look like Harry Potter :/ ....
