Arthur Levine, US editor of the Harry Potter series, has discussed JK Rowling in a recent panel discussion to launch Scholastic's "Summer Reading Buzz". The campaign encourages American children to read more books over the summer break.
Levine joins a small group of book professionals where he shares his views on the series and how Jo has become one of the most powerful authors in modern times. He comments that Jo wrote what she wanted to write, she was very dedicated to the book series in planning, and that it is the connection she creates between reader and text that helps to make the series so amazing.

I lost interest in reading books but because JKR created characters that we can identify with, I started reading the Harry Potter series. I found a character that I really like- Ron. And just for that JKR deserves the biggest thanks. | |
