Local Harry Potter fans celebrated the young wizard's 16th birthday Friday evening during a party held in his honor at the Newark Public Library. About 35 youths attended the party, playing games based on the popular series of books and movies, such as Quidditch and a wizard's duel, and eating birthday cake. Article: Wizard News have a link to an artical about a libary in Newark Public Library who held a party to celebrate Harry's 16th Birthday. Quote: About 35 youths attended the party, playing games based on the popular series of books and movies, such as Quidditch and a wizard's duel, and eating birthday cake.* | Quote: At the beginning of the party, the kids were divided into the four student houses at Hogwarts by choosing them from the sorting hat.
After that, the houses competed against each other in an adapted version of Quidditch -- a sport featured in the books that most closely resembles soccer played on flying broomsticks -- minus the magic.
Later in the evening, wizard duels were held, in which kids cast spells at one another by drawing cards from a sorting hat. Each spell was assigned a point value, with the higher number determining the winner. | Quote: | Before eating cake, the group sang happy birthday to Harry, and J.C. Deck, a member of the Gryffindor house for the night, was chosen to blow out the candles in the birthday boy's honor | Click Here for full story.

I know that they celebrated Harry's 16th Birthday but all Hp fans know that Harry would in fact be 24 today as he was born in 1980 but if you are going by the books he is 16 |

| I'm 15, so even if they had this in my town I wouldn't go because it's designed for little kids... but, I'm totally jealous! Sounds like they had fun. |
