Warwick Davis just confirmed via Twitter that today, Saturday, June 12, 2010 is the last day of principal photography for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the final installments in the Harry Potter film franchise. Quote:
The end of an Era - today is officially the last day of principal photography on 'Harry Potter' - ever. I feel honoured to be here as the director shouts cut for the very last time. Farewell Harry & Hogwarts, it's been magic!
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released on November 19, 2010 and July 15, 2011. | |

OMG...I'm literally speechless. I was just about to go to bed when I saw it on SS's twitter and my heart just dropped. Even though I knew this was coming, I'm still shocked and sad and heartbroken. The last 10 years of my childhood are ending and I don't even know to how properly comment on the forum...I should know what to say since I've had 10 years to prepare but I just don't. Gosh, I'm in for a restless night. I've got tears in my eyes.
Thank you to the cast and crew for sticking with the films for over 10 years and keeping us fans happy and entertained. These films are going to a part of history and we were all there to experience it. What an amazing era it's been!

a sad day, thanks to all invoved with making these films, for the sense of family that shone through, be it behind the scenes and in front of camera. Thank you for enriching these last 10 years and making my bank account poorer as i try and cling on to the Potter world. Thank you for bringing the books alive, you succeeded beyond all expectation from film no 1 and i'm sure to film no 8. Thank you

OMG! I am speechless and very emotional right now. Harry Potter has been like a family to me, and I will never forget this amazing story. It will be in my heart forever. People always say to me 'oh you STILL like Harry Potter' and I will always reply 'yes, and I will forever'.
Thanks so so so much for the cast and crew, I will never forget the amazing achievements they have done to produce this story into films. But most of all thanks HEAPS to Jo Rowling without whom this would of never happened. I LOVE YOU !!!

The last "cut" was said.That marks THE END of this remarkable piece called Harry Potter which is contained in every true HARRY POTTER fan's heart.It is not just the name that make this world and hero so magical and powerful.
My personality and what helped me to build it is exactly this hero,this world,this film,these books...in one word this PHENOMENOM.The world of Harry Potter will remain hidden and will always live in my heart and mind.It will be a witness of this fantastic era,of this decade.That can't be achieved easily.There it will stay forever.There it will be protected and able to continue to excist.Another place where people will continue remembering all that funny,interesting,exciting stuff from the films and books is THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER.It will be like a museum full of memories and adventures.
