| | |  John Williams Movie Music Spectacular to include Harry Potter score
The Chicago Symphony Orchestra will be hosting the John Williams Movie Music Spectacular, with the composer conducting the group on November 28th & 29th, including scores from the Harry Potter soundtracks. The Saturday performance is at 8pm, with the Sunday show at 3pm, held at the Symphony Center
220 S. Michigan Ave in Chicago, Illinois.

As somebody said in Leaky:
"Williams, particularly after Doyle and Hooper’s exceptional contributions, is simply not subtle, nuanced, original, or sophisticated enough to compose a score suitable for Deathly Hallows.
It will end up sounding like all Hollywood-Speilberg films made for teenagers. HP deserves better and I hope Heyman, Barron, and Yates are brave enough to acknowledge it before it’s too late. Either that or that they demand a hell of a lot more of Williams than Spielberg ever did.
What a ghastly way to end such a wonderful franchise, with a cheesy, hackneyed, ear-drum bashing, Hollywoodesque score. Sad."

How funny cuz this friday I came back from my Music in Film class dying to see John Williams live in concert, especially for HP. I was looking all over the internet for something! But...I live in California so Chicago is too far away. I gotta see him in concert before I die cuz Im a HUGE fan of his work. Does anyone have any info as to when he is coming to Hollywood or anywhere near?
