Was I mistaken because i was under the impression that all the actors on the HP films had to be Brittish or the sort. If he is considering running for the Mayor of California, wouldn't he have to be a resident of California? Or do Brittish Americans count for the movie roles as well?

He probably livedin Britian for a while. I don't believe anything said that they had to be living in Britan at the time of casting.
