We previously told you about Joe Vitale, the author of ' The Attractor Factor: 5 Easy Steps for Creating Wealth (or anything else) From the Inside Out', who'd said he would 'chase Harry Potter up a tree'.
Joe's book has now beaten ' Half-Blood Prince' to the #1 spot at Barnes and Noble for the second time in two weeks.
"I'm as stunned as anyone," said Vitale, 51, an Internet marketing guru who has used his computer to go head to head against the media empire behind Harry Potter.
"I'm one guy and a computer going up against a fictional character with a media empire behind him," said Vitale.
"Everyone said I didn't stand a chance. But look – I beat Harry Potter twice now. Anyone can do the impossible – with a strategy and real magic."

Well, congratulations to him. Why is everyone so upset? Give him a break...I'd be darn proud if I was able to do what he did. And he doesn't sound smug...he was as surprised as anyone. And HBP hasn't even been released yet, so no worries.

Wow, I can't believe he actually did it. However, as everyone has already said, HBP has yet to be released so who knows. He won't be on the top of that list for long.

 I wonder how many of his buddies he got to order his book. :p No, seriously. Is his book released? Because beating a pre-release to a released book is a bit crazy. So is comparing fiction to non-fiction. lol But good for him. Let him have his 15 minutes of fame. Not like it matters if he's number 1 at B&N or number 15.

hmmm....i wonder if he will be singing a diffrent tune when HBP is actually released...because beating an unreleased book barely is not as hard as when it is out...just think...he had trouble when it wasnt released...he wont stand a chance when it is. Dont mean to sound....mean or anything

LoL!  Bless; he thinks he has beaten the Harry Potter world of books!
Just want to make the point that he has only beaten the pre-order sales figure of HBP with one company. AND! there are still just under 3 months until the HBP release, so there are bound to be more pre-orders taking place as well as the purchases after the release date.

First of all his book has been out for a while and HBP hasnt.. second of all Think of all the books sold at differnet stores around the world in many many many countries.. he doesnt stand a chance once HBP comes out !!!!!!!

ok...this guy really has no life if he's putting all this time and effort into beating a fictional character.....and plus who the heck cares about whoever joe vitale is?...i really dont...potter's always number 1 for me and i'm sure for many others....this guy needs to get a life and do something productive. oh and joe: just so u know..potter fans really dont care if u beat hbp at #1 on barnes and noble or wherever else...when it comes down to july 16th - we'll all have a great big laugh at u and say "joe who?"

This guy really likes to brag, doesn't he? HBP hasn't even been released so it's probably going to come back and I'd love to see the guy's face when HBP beats his book I've never even heard of.
