J.K.Rowling recently won an award for 'Writer of the Year' from British Glamour Magazine. The Glamour Women of the Year Awards took place in London on June 7th with Jo accepting her award via a video. A source explains that she couldn't attend the awards show because 'motherhood duty called'.
Jo commented:
"The irony of the word 'glamour' appearing in a sentence with my name on it is not lost on me."

If she'd have gotten the most glamorous writer of the year award I could understand, and on a year when her book hasn't come out yet...what did they get an early copy? Jeez some people will hand out anything... She deserves it that's a given but it should be I don't know by a literary magazine...
