Jo Rowling's official site can now be used by disabled, deaf and visually impaired users.
The site can now be used from a keyboard without a mouse, which will help lots of Potter fans with disabilities.
Web users with sight problems can enlarge the site, and users can also pause movement, switch off noises and look up what sound clues mean. Quote:
JK said she was "delighted" that all her fans could now be part of her site.
"www.jk.rowling.com allows me the opportunity to be able to communicate directly with as many Harry Potter fans as possible," JK said. "I am therefore delighted that disabled and visually impaired fans can now be a part of this."

Wow, that's so nice of JK! I love how she is good to all of her fans and recognizes them all equally! Brail HBP and now her website is accessibe to the disabled too! Great job JK, it makes me proud to be your fan!!

I have not yet veiwed this site since the change but I am guessing that it is a pretty neat idea. I also think that it will help many of the people that are deaf and so on... but there is still people that may want to veiw her site but can't because of a disability. Its great to see she is making an imporvment to help disabled people veiw her site.

that is great. it is nice to hear that jkr cares about people with disabilities.. i think they ought to live the way people without diasabilities do. it is very noble of her to do such a thing for them.
