J.K. Rowling has updated the Diary section of her site with her progress on Book Seven! Quote:
This always happens. I make a plan, it looks nice and neat, then I get to actually write the book and realise that Harry can't possibly do all that in just one chapter. So what I thought were going to be two chapters have now become four. I still don't think the book will be as long as 'Phoenix', but if that keeps happening... no, it won't. I'm looking at the plan, and it can't. Surely. Please.

Yes! Yes, I would love for it to be be several more books even!
I'm just wild about Harry don't want it to ever end...
Now that school is over & he is yet unqualified... it could take a few more years & and at least two more book length adventures... the longer the better! It is a thrilling tale, one that will take time to do it justice!
maybe three books the adventure of the discovery & disposal of the 1.locket, 2. Helga's cup story, 3. lots to be learned about Rowena's relic or gryffindors story
... we know so very little about a lot...

I LOVE IT This news is no suprise. I wish the book is as long as the 5th book. I am ready for this book to come out. I think it will be the best on yet.

I do hope the book will be thicker than HBP, because a really did feel deflated when I saw how thin HBP was....we need reading material Jo, you can't cut us short, you know that!

I'm really excited about the last book, did anyone but me notice on her site there now a peice of paper I don't remember being there before that looks like the Black Family Tree and at the bottom it all seems to lead to Harry. I wonder what that means?
