| | |  JKR Hosts Masquerade Ball for MS Research
Back in February, we reported that J.K. Rowling would be hosting a fundraising ball at Stirling Castle to benefit multiple sclerosis research. The masquerade ball took place tonight and there are now some images online to view. Quote:
During the evening guests took part in a treasure hunt, with the clues written by Rowling herself.

what i wouldn't give to have been able to be there. or even just see it. i'm really fascinated by those balls and my mom's got ms, so it would have been awesome to be able to help support it

That sounds like it was so much fun to go to! And it's a great cause. My uncle has MS, and he is in a wheelchair now, and can only move one arm. It's really hard to watch someone go through that. My roomate and her mom also both have MS, but they are doing really well so far. I hope they never get to the stage my uncle is at. With people like J.K. Rowling though, they may find a cure someday. Great cause, and it sounds like it was alot of fun.
