In my opinion, a 'minimal injury' can't really be long-lasting, can it? I mean, unless it's emotionally painful. That does sound like something that JKR would write about Harry (he's always in misery, ain't he?), but I don't think it's true.
Also, January sounds FAR too early for the next book to be done to me. I thought it wouldn't be done until way after the next movie is out. Though, who knows? I do like the sound of the length of the book. I hope that it's not too long. It doesn't need to be. I persoanlly think that book 5 had a lot of stuff that wasn't really important. It could have been a lot shorter, I think.
I hope the book is done by then, but that sounds like a lie to me. I think it's all lies.

On The Leaky Cauldron this is what it says exactly: Quote: October 31, 2003
JKR Rumor Debunked
In October, it was reported :
" JK Rowling publicly said 'Harry sustains a minimal but lasting injury in this [the sixth] book.' It is also reported to be roughly just under the length of GoF and will most likely be done by early January. (The first draft.).
We've got word from an irrefutable source that Rowling never said this. Strike a big X through it. Happy Halloween!

I am not going to believe any rumors about the sixth book, because before book 5 came out there were so many false things it was crazy. I dont hink that she is gonna be done with it is january wither though.

January could be a little to early, but the first draft may well be done by early next year sometime, cause she's already started writing it (it's a long way from first draft to published copy). And it might all happen a lot quicker this time, because I don't think she'll be getting married again and I don't think there'll be morning sickness to contend with either... Just no sleep!! But hey she can write at night!!

Shame that was false really, I was hoping the first draft would be done soon because it does take quite a while to have the published product from First Draft, all that proof reading and amendments take months and it's not just JKR that does it, the publishing house reads it too then JK might want to change things, then theres the front cover artwork to be done etc... It takes a long time.
If JKR has already written the ending of book 7, then it could still be possible that the 6th book will be out before another 3 years (as book 5), I just hope she hurry's up because I need to read it now! |
