| | | JKR contributes to "Once Upon a Poem"
J.K.Rowling has contributed a small quote which is going to be used in a new children's poetry book called Once Upon a Poem: Favourite Poems That Tell Stories.
It is a collection of poems with introductions from a variety of authors such as Philip Pullman, J. K. Rowling, G. P. Taylor, Jacqueline Wilson.
J.K. Rowling introduces a poem called "Jim Who Ran Away from his Nurse, and was Eaten by a Lion" by Hilaire Belloc.
Her introduction reads: Quote:
"Belloc is one of my favourite poets for his wit, his understatement, and his profundity- but, perhaps most of all, for the lion called Ponto who ate Jim."
In order to see the page on which JK's introduction appears go here, scroll down and then click the link underneath the section on the Once Upon a Poem book, where it says "A Real Read Title".

I love Hilaire Belloc, especially "Matilda, the girl who told such dreadful lies, and was burnt". They terrified me into behaving myself when I was younger.

Pullman is an awesome author, and of course J.K. is wonderful. I wish they had some of Tim Burton's poems in there. They are a bit morbid, but they give off potential for some beautiful illistrations.

That poem's cute! I'm glad JK's supporting poetry as well as novels!
