 JK Rowling's $1m magic weekend - her earnings from PoA Summary:

As the money keeps on rolling in from cinemas, not even all around the globe, JK's pockets become fuller. 'Prisoner of Azkaban', the third installment in the Potter series, hasn't even been released everywhere in the world yet but it has still made over £20 million in the UK alone, smashing not one but two British Records. The Scotsman has a feature on how this is set to affect Jo as the films continue to be made and the franchise grows both bigger and stronger. Quote: THE fairytale of JK Rowling’s path to wealth entered a new chapter over the weekend as box-office receipts for Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban smashed all records - earning her an estimated $1 million.*
