Wow, that's pretty big news.
I don't think she will have time though will she?
Phillip Pullman and J Wilson? Imagine a book with the three authors combined! Would be pretty cool...

It would be interesting to see how well she writes other material besides HP, but I don't want her to do this, it would mean waiting longer in between books. And the wait's already long enough. I doubt she will, though... Quote: Phillip Pullman and J Wilson? Imagine a book with the three authors combined! Would be pretty cool... It would be my favorite book, hands down. I don't think she will have time though will she? Yeah, I have to say, I don't think she has the time. Her family is always first, then the Potter books, and right now, with pregnancy and all, I think thats all she can handle...

Her spokesman said she wasn't doing it...
Jacqueline would be better than Pullman mainly cos she's more a kiddies writer. She's brilliant, so in tune with kids verging on teens and their changing emotions and this would fit in with the sort of Peter/Wendy romance that was highlighted (which was the real story) in the latest film version of it. I used to idolise Jacqueline and even though I'm 17 I still read her books.

But does Peter Pan really need updating...I think it's a wonderful story, that's timeless, I can't help thinking this is just a way to make more money out of this classic tale...

I'm glad she isn't taking time off writing Harry Potter to write a book for others- maybe when she's done with Book 7 she could do something like this, if she wanted to.

| Keeper of Mr Tennant's specs it isnt rewriting the original it is makeing a sequal not like Disney did woth return to neverland but a modern sequal.
also i think it is more to do with the hospital because Mr Barrie gave them the publishing writed so allmost all money from the book/films goes to them. and the copyrites run out in 2007. so mabey if they get a sewual writen they might get the money from it. i dont know thought if ater 2007 they will get anymoney from Peter Pan

Well if the money goes to the hospital then that's great, have to wait and see what the sequel is like, I'll probably read it just to see...

I have not read Peter pan but the film made we cry my eyes out- though I think I looked into it a little too far.
oh I would read anything she wrote. Even her shopping list would be exciting, thought provoking and romantic.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Ottery St. Catchpole Third Year | Paris & Kellybear r luv :Read Otty 's fics:Gone With the Wind:I♥Rupert While I would hate having to wait even longer for the next Harry Potter book [read Aaaaaaargh! Like Charlie Brown when he misses the football] this would be for Charity, I think that would be nice. If she doesn't do it now I think she shoudl do it someday, Peter Pan is one of my favorite books and I would love to read a sequel. I always though Wendy and the boys should have stayed in Neverland, I would have. :sorcerer:

Well, I havent read the Peter Pan books, but I have seen the movie, and it's great! I wouldn't mind having her write the sequal to Peter Pan, though it might have a different personality, since they were written by different people.

It's awesome that they're planning on a sequel for Peter Pan, but does J.K really have time to write it? She said she's commited to HP so...well you never know I guess.

i agree with every1 else-- it'd be cool if JKR wrote the sequel but wont it get in the way of her writing HP? and having the three authors together to write it would be awesome lol.
