Oh that’s so sad - the last bit I mean.
JKR is a lovely lady but I do feel for her a bit. Having so much money must make for an awful lot of pressure- although I have no doubt she'd want to donate her own money to a cause she can't, seeing if she funded one she'd be obliged to donate to many, many more :/

There are some people who are rich, and you can be jealous of them and not feel guilty because they don't really deserve their money - and then there are people like JK, who completley deserve everything they get. She is always giving to charity, and helping others and she seems so kind. That was a really sweet thing to do.

She so nice. She's big and still doesn't forget about us little people. I havent heard about Bill Gates giving any money to foundations. If he has then good but if he hasnt then its a darn shame all that mone is going to waste cause 1 person cannot use all that money.O well at least our loving author gives 2 the people. | |

thats great that JK donates to charities unlike other celebrities (well shes not exactly a celeb but she's rich and famous..) those other people buy expensive stuff just to PROVE they have the money, like the quote "bling bling" and all. but its sad about sara, it must be awful to have leukemia at such a young age.. |

GO JK! GO JK! GO JK!
You know Lucia Grint Bill Gates could feed alot of hungry people, help people get the surgery they need, give homes to the homeless and I bet he would still be filthy rich. He could give everyone in the US $5 dollars and still have money to live on. It makes me sick.
I really like how JK does all this. It makes me even more proud to scream out in a crowd "I'M A HARRY POTTER FAN AND NOT ASHAMED TO SAY IT!".

I also think its brilliant that with evrything she has going on she still finds time to help other. And not just HP fans- clearly this girl being only two has no idea what HP but Jo helps her regardless. Its just the right thing to do. also a lot of yo0u are talking about bill gates and stuff being really rivch but not helping as much but he actually donates millions and millions of dollars constantly you just rarley hear about it. Its hard though becuase you have som much money to give away and can never know who to give it to or were it will make a bigger diffrence and be most usefull. Jo is my hero!! |

Wow that's amazing she's using her status for all this!!
And yes, she's taking lots of money from everywhere Harry Potter has succeded comercialy, but she's usin' parts for this, that's very important.
And is also like some of our money is being used in a very nice way.
Congrats JK!!

After all, what she does is wonderful, but it's good she keeps things underwraps too.
Also, if she donated signed books to every charity, then they wouldn't be that rare anymore, and the funds raised for them would decrease immensley.
