Barnes & Noble have announced that a message from J.K.Rowling will be beamed to New York on the evening of July 15th from Edinburgh Castle, Scotland. The special greeting will air live at 7:20PM (EST) at the store in Union Square.
At the same store, Jim Dale (the US audiobook reader), will be present to participate in the ' Half-Blood Prince' celebrations. He will be "hosting a reading and special surprise activities for fans of all ages."
Barnes & Noble also announced yesterday that they've taken over 750,000 pre-orders for ' Half-Blood Prince'. They expect sales to hit the million mark before the books release on July 16th.

wow Well maybe it will be something about the 7th book, like maybe the title or something. Or maybe it's whether of not she will keep writing HP books after he leaves Hogwarts......or maybe it will be something that has no real importance...won't know until we hear it, I s'pose... | |

oh i went to a bookstore last week to learn if the book would be in turkey on the 16th and they didnt know, they reckoned it would be a bit late.. and amazon, barnes and noble, and all the other sites send the book in late, too.. im so sad! i hope cnn or bbc will air the speech of jkr so i can watch it and cheer up a bit!

Unfortunately, I will be in the hospital when the book's released where I live ::grumbles:: . But hopefully my ::winks:: kind and loving ::winks:: friends will bring me my own copy so I won't have to wait. . . Stupid surgery
