Barnes & Noble have announced that a message from J.K.Rowling will be beamed to New York on the evening of July 15th from Edinburgh Castle, Scotland. The special greeting will air live at 7:20PM (EST) at the store in Union Square.
At the same store, Jim Dale (the US audiobook reader), will be present to participate in the ' Half-Blood Prince' celebrations. He will be "hosting a reading and special surprise activities for fans of all ages."
Barnes & Noble also announced yesterday that they've taken over 750,000 pre-orders for ' Half-Blood Prince'. They expect sales to hit the million mark before the books release on July 16th.

Oh wow! That's so cool! I guess I'll see the message sometime after having read HBP because I'll be fast asleep waiting to get HBP in a few hours' time.{grumbles, stupid timezones}
I wonder what she will say though. I have a feeling it's something like "I hope you like it. Some characters died for a reason..." I mean she's not going to reveal anything. She's held on for so long, she's not going to crack at the very last minute.

Well it won't be 'the last minute' because the embargo will have been lifted by then as it'll be 12:20am in the UK on July 16th. She may drop a few hints but she's not going to say anything too big. Quote:

Probably. After all, ITV are recording the event so that'll probably be a part of it. Quote:
