JKR has sent a letter in response to the birthday fanfile put together by Wizard City a few months ago: Quote:
Thank you very much for your letters. I am currently working hard on the sixth Harry Potter book and enjoying the writing more than ever; Hopefully this means that it will be enjoyable to read! I am however increasingly conscious that I am nearing the end of the series. The last two books seem almost like two halves of the same novel, because so much that happens in six is related to what happens at the very end of the story. Thank you again for writing. It means the world to me that Harry's fans take the time and trouble to let me know how much they like him.

Yes...Yes...Yes book 6 is coming along nicely, and Jo says she is enjoying writting it. I think that is GREAT news!!! 'Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince'. So I wonder who the Half Blood Prince is? Jo says it's not Harry or Voldemort so I wonder if it could be Dean. For some reason I think it might be him. Maybe his dad who was a Death Eater could have been a Prince too. Or maybe...a new character is going to be thrown into the mix. Hope Jo is finished by Christmas that would be great.

When Jo finish the series, will she write another series ??? I don't think so because even though she is very good at writing books, all she'll be known for is the Harry Potter series. But that would mean that if she were to write another book, that people would not question how well she would write it, but grab it off the shelves immediately! It's not that she couldn't live without a job anyways, because she is worth billions now! :flowersmile:

i can't wait for book 6 to come out, she is making it sound really really awesome!!
hopefully by this time next year we'll be reading HBP.

But we must be brave, and no matter what happens just be patient and hope that this book is as good as the others!  Ditto. That's what I've been thinking ever since book four. :ermsmile:
But I'm also excited to know what's goign to happen. I can't wait, but I don't want it to happen; if that makes sense.

i am positively dying of waiting.... im soooo excited. :flowersmile:
now that the maddening excitement of the movie has settled down a bit( i watched it 6 times!!) im JUS DYING for the new book ... i do so hope it comes out before my OWLS (oops! i meant O levels!!) due next May.
i dont think ill be able to live after the books have finished, if u no wat i mean, coz harry potter is now a Part of me and i Cant live without it. oh im gonna be soo depressed wen they are over!!! :/

Oh I can't wait! I mean, you get to find out who's the half-blood prince. My money is on Seamus Finnigan. Think about his ancestry. His dad's a Muggle and his mom's a witch. He's half-blood. J.K. Rowling might just spring him in the center of the plot like she did Neville. Also, I'm beginning to think about Hagrid. His dad's a wizard and his mom was a queen giant. He's also half-blood and his mom was a queen which would make him a prince. But whatever. I'm going to cry at the end of book 7. It'll feel like the end of an era. But I can always read them over again and watch the movies. JKR ROX! :sorcerer: I'm hungry for another adventure :lunchmeat:

lol - it's funny, because I finished reading this letter on SS when my mum comes into the room and says there's a letter from me. It said 'Royal Mail, Scotland' on the stamp, and I kinda almost bounced through the roof.... I'm gonna keep that letter in a safe place!!

I dont kno if ne1 has mentioned this or even if I have on here but JK Rowling has stated the 6th book will prolly come out in 4-5 months. O ya and POA is coming out on video/DVD November 23rd or December 3rd

i've read abit of the stuff about the next book on r.k.rowlings website. and she says its still nowhere near finish. :ermsmile:  i don't think i can wait much longer for the book i'm going mad.cool name for the book to, it also sucks the series is so close to being over  :sad: :sad:
