Jim Tavare seek's help for dyslexia this Sunday -

Summary:
Tom the inkeeper is raising money this Sunday to try and fight dyslexia

Article:

Thanks to Wizardnews

[QUOTE]Jim Tavare, who plays Tom, the inkeeper of the Leaky Cauldron in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, is running in the London Marathon on April 18 and is asking for the support of Harry Potter fans everywhere.

Jim is raising money to benefit the British Dyslexia Association, which supports people with dyslexia and their families through a UK-wide network of local dyslexia associations. The BDA also campaigns to raise awareness, break down barriers and create a society where people with dyslexia can have the same opportunities in school and at work as everyone else.

So far, only £608 has been pledged for Tom's run, he's hoping to raise £2,000. To make a pledge and read a personal message from Jim as Tom the Leaky Cauldron inkeeper, you can visit the London Marathon website at this weblink.

WoW that is so koo of him to do this. I have Dyslexia and I know what it is like to not be able to understand something and feel so stupid and just give up...But the thing that I found that changed my life is reading the Harry Potter books. When I was in 8th grade I had a GPA of 0.2..and a reading level of a 5th grader...Now I am in 11th grade I have a 3.0 and I read at a reading leve of 12th grader and I think its because of the books...I hated reading till I found the Harry Potter books and now I just can't stop reading...lol...I still have problems sometimes but I get over them if I just keep working at them.....I think it's gr8 that Jim is doing this and thank him, even if I am from the states I still think is gr8!
