| | |  Jim Dale speaks & reads at Portus 2008
Jim Dale, the U.S. narrator for the Harry Potter audiobooks, yesterday took questions and did several readings at Portus 2008.
He read the Sorting Hat ceremony in Sorcerer's Stone, a passage featuring Harry, Ron, Hermione & Moaning Myrtle from Chamber of Secrets, scenes involving Aunt Marge and Professor Trelawney from Prisoner of Azkaban and the Mad-Eye Moody & Malfoy encounter in Goblet of Fire.
During his readings he talked about his experiences recording the audios and told humorous stories.

if Jim Dale's Mugglenet Interview is anything to go by, his session at Portus would've been amazing. His role as the HP narrator is only the most recent in an incredible list of credits over the last 30 yrs, mainly in the UK entertainment industry.

i have listened to all the HP books from POA and on several times during long drives for my work. This man is the voice of the stories....you always know the character he is reading before he says - his different character voices are just that unique.
