Jason Isaacs talks end of Lucius Malfoy's story in Deathly Hallows
While promoting his feature Green Zone, which was released this weekend, actor Jason Isaacs spoke about a particular decision he and Harry Potter director David Yates made in regards to how to end Lucius Malfoy's story in Deathly Hallows. As a result of making said decision, which Jason didn't go into detail about, he lost about three extra months of filming (up until this March) as Lucius would no longer be required. Jason also praised Dan Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, and especially on-screen son Tom Felton on keeping grounded and becoming "good young people" who are "unfailingly polite."
Jason did note that while he is still trying to get Lucius Malfoy's wig as a keepsake, he did get to keep one of Lucius's snake-headed canes.
The full interview can be heard below (Jason's full segment can be listened to on BBC Radio 2 here, starting at 2:00 hours in).
WHAT?! NO NO NO NO NO. NO NO NO NO NO!
They can't change Lucius's scenes! They can't keep changing stuff!!!
What are they doing now? Killing him off? Does he get to play a round of connect 4 with Draco and Dumbledore before they off him???
I'm positive they won't kill him.. it wouldn't make too much sense after all we still have to see his sensitive side at the end. We know his wife cares for Draco very much but the real surprise will be to see him doing the same..
Nice interview. I hope that Lucius survives like in the book. He is one of my favorites along with Severus, from the darker side of the books. Jason Issacs is a very good actor.
