Actor Jason Isaacs was recently interviewed on BBC Radio 5, promoting the DVD release of his feature Good, during which he spoke about having done work on Deathly Hallows.
Jason admits that he has filmed scenes for Malfoy Manor already (confirmed to have taken place last month), and that in a month's time he will be partaking in scenes involving Ralph Fiennes' character, Lord Voldemort. He also talks about Lucius Malfoy's mental state and power status at the beginning of the final films. The interview can be heard below:
Jason's full interview (running over forty minutes), during which he talks about his other projects, and aids the hosts in critiquing the top ten movies of the week, can be heard here.
UPDATED: Jason did another interview with the Sunday Mercury, where he spoke about the end of the Harry Potter films and Lucius's turn in the Deathly Hallows production:
Quote:
"I find it unbearable, I'm absolutely dreading it," he says. "I'm such a sentimental old fool that even though I don't finish shooting until April, I already feel like they're playing 'Leaving On A Jet Plane' in my ear."
"One of the lovely things about these two films is Lucius has gone from the most evil man in the series to being utterly humiliated and emasculated by Lord Voldemort. He's reduced to little more than the man who rushes around with a dishcloth clearing up the spills. It's nice to have that kind of journey as a character and see him get the comeuppance he so richly deserves."
I don't think anyone could have said it better and especially because it's his character. I had been relishing the thought of Lucius getting spanked by Lord Voldemort. It seems like forever ago that I first saw him in The Patriot.

Jason Issacs is one of my favorite actors and I'm not ususally one who adulates movie stars. He seems so down to earth and is very good each and every time I've seen him in a different role.
Lucius Malfoy is a 'git' as Fred and George would say but for me, Jason Isaacs as person and as actor, is wonderful. I love reading his interviews - such a great sense of humor, he has.
he is awesome and so nice!!
aww they filmed malfoy manor?i wonder where they filmed it?? there's this cool building across from me which would have been perfect...aww well...
There was mention of them using Hardwick Hall but that would probably just be in exteriors. The rest would be at the studio.

Love it!

Love him even more that he truly *knows* the books and his character (unlike other older HP actors I will not name).
You mean Gary Oldman? Michael Gambon has read them.
Ooh I can't wait to see these scenes in the movie - is it awful of me to want to see Lucius get what he deserves?! But the thought of everyone finishing up on the movies is sad...
Nice interview, I think he'll do a spectacular job in these two movies, I can imagine Lucius being more like Wendy's father in Peter Pan (who he played), trembling and nervous!

The great thing about the HP films is not only that they're awesome but they have found actors and actresses who are completely perfect for the roles!!! Jason IS Lucius .He was also Hook, bless him

I don't think it's awful at all, since he said as much about his character in the interview
