In Japan, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will break the record for the most copies of any book ever sold, when it reaches 2.9 million sets. The book is sold in two volumes, which cannot be purchased separately. OOTP will be breaking the record set by its predecessor, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Maybe because the Japanese are used to small things, like small new technologies (mobile phones, etc.) I don't know, but that's amazing 2.9 million...

It's not a bad idea. To separated the books. I mean it is quite heavy ... soo separating them is a good idea - right!? :/

Most paperbacks are really thin, just look at the manga! So I can see why it's in two sets. Although I wonder if the books will be considerably larger or smaller than they normally would be. Once I wrote an entire page in english because I thought to show off to my teacher but when I translated it to Chinese it was barely more than a paragraph.
