| | |  Japanese Deathly Hallows pre-order figures
The Japanese translation of Deathly Hallows is still five days away but today Amazon are reporting that pre-order figures for the book have reached 87,000. The retailer yesterday received 100,000 copies of the novel, to meet the demands of fans. The book is 3,990-yen for the two-volume set.
As we told you at the beginning of the month, 20 lucky fans will get the opportunity to view the Tales of Beedle Bard, a copy of which is currently on display in Tokyo. Pictures of the book arriving in the country can be seen here. | |

holy cow - it's been almost over a year and they still haven't gotten the book?!
Japanese takes a long time to translate.... I know that for sure because some translations from English to Japanese are TOTALLY different though (my bro is in Japanese class and went to Japan and he said there are some crazy translations, which makes everything 'Engrish' instead of 'English'...), so there probably was some difficulty translating stuff from English to Japanese for them.
That sucks for the Harry Potter fans out there... but at least it shows they care enough to translate as much/directly as possible, eh?
At least they're getting it though! Congrats for them having to wait so long and putting up with it! xD They deserve brownie points
