We've received a report, from an attendee at Muggle Mayhem, a Harry Potter convention which took place this weekend in Northampton, England, stating that Joshua Herdman confirmed that Jamie Waylett will not reprise his role as Vincent Crabbe for Deathly Hallows. Furthermore Joshua added that it is his character, Gregory Goyle, that will die instead. | |

OMG! Why not?! That is totally wrong! Jamie Waylett was good! And Goyle is going to die? Now they are really messing things up! So. Is there actually going to be a Crabbe in the next movie? Is someone else going to play Crabbe or is there going to be no Crabbe?

I was actually looking forward to seeing Crabbe stand up on his own two feet

Sad that he won't be in DH but like Tomasina Riddle said he made some wrong choices and now has to suffer the consequences, it is a shame i liked Crabbe and Goyle in the book

Personally, I don't mind. Crabbe and Goyle hardly appeared in the last book and have hardly appeared in the last few films. There would have been no point in recasting the part because it would ruin the continuity. For someone who only appears for a short time and then gets killed, it would probably confuse people watching. People would think that it is a new character. It is down to Jamie's actions that he isn't appearing in the last film and the film makers have made a clever decision to kill Goyle instead. It was either kill Goyle or just leave out the death.

I don't really like how Goyle will die instead. Yes, he's not even a big character as well as Crabbe, but to kill off someone who wasn't killed is not right Ah well..

Oh and also, I'm sure they would have contacted J.K Rowling about this. Like people have said, they are killing off a character who wasn't killed in the book and I'm sure they would want her say on it.

people should calm down about this change really.... It's not like it a big deal that they switched who dies out of those two, since they're only minor characters from the book. In my opinion it's a better choice then recasting...recasting stinks!  | |

OK...... That can work, but are they just going to write Crabbe out? I mean..... I realize through the other movies, Malfoy has had other goons helping him, but those two are his biggest goons. Oh well, Can't wait to see what happens!!! YAY!
Oh and Jo has to approve of every change made, that has been stated in the past. It is supposed to be part of the contract she signed with WB. I am fine with it, it's not like they decided to kill off a Major character instead of another or something major like that. I think it will still be an AWESOME movie..... and this also means that they really are leaving the WHOLE book in the movies!!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYYAYAY!!!!

I would have been more surprised if he had been allowed to return, to be honest. As many others have said, he has to face the consequences of his actions. The books and films are about the choices that people make and the consequences of those choices. It would be pretty shabby for him to be allowed to return really.
