James Bond with a twist - Summary:
James Bond is going to take a Harry Potter Twist Article:
Thanks to Wizardnews Quote: Those young 'reinvented James Bond' franchise rumours are getting more detailed every day. This morning, "Fast Show" boy Charlie Higson indicated on the Jonathan Ross radio show in the UK that he has been commissioned by the owners of the Bond license to produce a series of books on the "young" James Bond - at college and university. He stated he's already finished and delivered the first.
According to listener 'Bilko52', Ross was pretty unimpressed - it doesn't take a big guess to see that they are trying to come up with a Harry Potter style twist with the formative years of the spy at spy school. Blatantly once these are published, the chances that we'll see a teen Bond movie will rise. Wizardnews |

Even though I despise James Bond, their formula of;
Evil person threaten world, James gets hired, meets beautiful agent, falls in love, saves world.....
has worked for so many years and, well, a school spin off wouldn't work. Sounds like they wanna create a franchise just like HP.

Sounds like these producers and writers really need to go back to the drawing board and think of some new ideas, they did it with Superman too, Smallville the early years, its so old news!
Think of something new, please!!!!
And yes, I hate James Bond too!

Yes, I agree that everyone has seen a Bond movie at point or other, and its fan-base is absolutely huge, but it's always been the kinda thing that Dad will watch!! Don't appeal to me in the slightest! :/

However, if they were to do a young James Bond it would lose a significant part of its appeal. The thing about James Bond is that he's sophisticated and debonaire--all while saving the world! I can't see a teenage Bond being quite so...suave.

Well I do know that there is a cartoon of James Bond junior and
I know that Richard Criego(21 Jump Street) was in a film which
was just like one of those James Bond Junior cartoons. And I
liked this film*maybe mainly because of Richard Criego*
So that is whyI think if they plan to do a little "fresh up"
I do not think it wouldbe Harry Potter-like.

Umm.... they're just dragging the Bond movies out now. That is just a bit too far. Before long people are going to lose interest in the movies which is a shame because some of them are absolute classics!

| Personally, I think that's stupid. I mean, I don't think they will be nearly as big a hit as Harry Potter if that really is what they're trying to do. |

that idea's a little risky in my opinion. maybe it doesn't appeal to some of us but it might to some. everybody's entitled to their own opinion. true those movies have the same kind of plot. that's boring to me. wonder how that'll do if it does happen???
geez! create ur own twist and stop reinventing others.
