Post J.K. Rowling's 'The Silkworm', sequel to Galbraith's 'The Cuckoo's Calling', out June

The sequel to Robert Galbraith's first novel, The Cuckoo's Calling, called The Silkworm by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, will be released by Hatchette this coming June.

Quote:
Private investigator Cormoran Strike returns in a new mystery from Robert Galbraith, author of the #1 international bestseller The Cuckoo's Calling.

When novelist Owen Quine goes missing, his wife calls in private detective Cormoran Strike. At first, Mrs. Quine just thinks her husband has gone off by himself for a few days--as he has done before--and she wants Strike to find him and bring him home.

But as Strike investigates, it becomes clear that there is more to Quine's disappearance than his wife realizes. The novelist has just completed a manuscript featuring poisonous pen-portraits of almost everyone he knows. If the novel were to be published, it would ruin lives--meaning that there are a lot of people who might want him silenced.

When Quine is found brutally murdered under bizarre circumstances, it becomes a race against time to understand the motivation of a ruthless killer, a killer unlike any Strike has encountered before...

A compulsively readable crime novel with twists at every turn, THE SILKWORM is the second in the highly acclaimed series featuring Cormoran Strike and his determined young assistant, Robin Ellacott.
The Silkworm, at 384 pages, will be out June 24, 2014. The Cuckoo's Calling call be purchased here.

Sounds interesting. I haven't read The Cuckoo's Calling, though I hope neither are as dull as The Casual Vacancy was, because I still plan on reading them.

I've read both (of course), and can assure you Cuckoo is way better than Vacancy.

Oh good! I'll definitely get on that then.

I haven't read Cuckoo's Calling or Casual Vacancy, but I think I might just get around to start on Cuckoo's Calling. It doesn't sound like my type of book, but Rowling is one of my three favorite authors ever - so I'll give it a try.

I read both Cuckoo and CV, and I enjoyed them. So I am super excited for this.

I loved the Cuckoo's Calling so I'm sure the Silkworm will be fantastic! I've read that Jo Rowling will be at the Theakstons Crime Writing Festival in relation to The Silkworm

Hmm, I haven't read Cuckoo's Calling or Casual Vacancy, but I plan on doing so when more free time is available to me (which is hopefully at the start of June).
I can't wait to get started on these books when I have time to relax! They seem quite interesting... !
