| | |  J.K. Rowling's literary agents considering releasing Harry Potter in e-book format
Despite affirming in the past that e-book versions of the Harry Potter book series would not be released, J.K. Rowling's literary agents are now saying that it is currently being considered. Quote:
Neil Blair, partner at the Christopher Little Agency (CLA) which represents Rowling, said the agency was “currently considering all the options and opportunities that this evolving space provides”. The agency was “actively” looking, whereas previously it had just been “monitoring the developing area”, he said.
We will have more on this as it develops. | |

Not a fan of e-books. Books should have pages to turn and kept on a shelf.
But then again if they really take off i guess they should make ones for HP.. or perhaps they won't take off until there are HP ebooks ??

I haven't tried one of those portable readers, and I feel like an elder for saying this, but I prefer old-fashioned books. I get more satisfaction from flipping an actual page than from flicking a "page" on a screen. My face is composed to enough artificial light already.  | |

This may be a good way to make more money but personally, I would never touch it. Call me a nerd but I like the feel of turning actual pages and just the smell of the pages of my Goblet of Fire book. Also reading something off a computer screen for a long time always gives me a headache and makes my eyes hurt. I like the Harry Potter books in my hand thank you.
